Acts 1:8 -> “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (ESV) Acts 1:8 means that God expects us to . . . Be empowered by the with the – here, there, and everywhere. Make – who hear, repent, believe, are baptized, and learn to follow, obey, and share the good news of Jesus. Plant – who gather in Jesus’ name, preach the gospel, make disciples, celebrate the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, practice church discipline, and reproduce. Continue the “to the end of the earth” and to “the end of the age.” “I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” -Jesus (Matthew 16:18b, ESV) “strive to excel in building up the church.” -Apostle Paul (1 Corinthinas 14:12b, ESV) “So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and they increased in numbers daily.” (Acts 16:5, ESV) Ingleside and Church Planting Our church was planted years ago.
