Three Gifts God Gives Me When I Trust Christ:

1.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal  l life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, ESV)

2. His  

“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38, ESV)

3. A Special

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace…” (1 Peter 4:10, ESV)

Ten Truths about Spiritual Gifts

1. Only have spiritual gifts. (1 Corinthians 2:14; Romans 8:9)

2. Every Christian has at least gift. (1 Corinthians 12:7)

3. No one receives the gifts.

27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. 28 And God has appointed in the church first apostles,     second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, administrating, and various kinds of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all possess gifts of healing? Do all  speak with tongues? Do all interpret? (1 Corinthians 12:27-30)

4. No single gift is given to . (1 Corinthians 12:27-30) 

5. You can’t a spiritual gift. (Ephesians 4:7)

6. The decides what gifts I get. (1 Corinthians 12:11)

7. I am to the gifts God gives me. (2 Timothy 1:6)

Seven Cautions about Spiritual Gifts

1. Don’t confuse spiritual gifts with abilities.

2. Don’t confuse spiritual gifts with the of the Spirit.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

3. Don’t confuse spiritual gifts with Christian .

4. Don’t expect others to serve the way you do and have similar .

5. Don’t think your gift is important than others.

6. Don’t think your gift is important than others.

7. Don’t use your gift without !

1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3)

What Does God Want Me to do With My Gift?

 1. it!

                “…earnestly desire the spiritual gifts…” (1 Corinthians 14:1)

  • with different ministries.

“do not neglect the gift you have…” (1 Timothy 4:14)
“fan into flame the gift of God” (2 Timothy 1:6)

  • My PRIMARY ministry should be in the area where I am most .
  • My SECONDARY ministry includes serving in any other area where I am .
